Getting more from a team that increasingly has fewer resources and less budget isn’t a new challenge to corporate recruiting teams. That’s just one reason why the efficiency found in video screening and interviewing has been an attractive solution that has continued to gain momentum within the world of Talent Acquisition. With so many organizations making real-time and asynchronous video interviews an option for candidates, and with some companies opting out of face-to-face interviews completely, CareerXroads thought it was time to check in with its member companies and ask how they’re managing video interviews for talent.
Just one of the items worth noting is that nearly 30% of the companies that participated in this CareerXroads benchmark survey reported that they do not use video for candidate interviewing while nearly 10% said that they are using video for somewhere between 26% and 50% of all hiring. Leading the charge with regards to the factors considered before the decision to move to video? Cost, time to fill, geographic challenges, and candidate & manager experiences were most notable.
